These torches have a secret.

Friend of Kokoromi and gamma256 contributor Lee Byron (Roku) recently joined forces with the information graphics team at the New York Times, creating some of his trademark crafty visualizations for both the print newspaper, and online edition.  One of his most recent pieces covers the history of design of the Olympic torch.

In its own right, the report is a super-interesting look at how nations represent themselves through the design of this symbolic object.  BUT even more than that, his interactive piece is probably the first ever info viz to contain an easter egg.  Could this be the next step in the inevitable merger of data visualization and games?  Go check it out, and let us know if you find it!  (but hey, no spoilers…)

Ok a hint since no one figured it out yet! You have to click two of the torches in a certain order.
