Thanks to everyone who came out to the Experimental Gameplay session at GDC! Everything went off without a hitch and the GAMMA games seemed to generate a lot of enthusiasm from the crowd. (After all, how can you not love some good sucking and blowing game mechanics?)
You can visit the GAMMA 01: Audio Feed game page to learn more about these games, and be sure to check out our YouTube video on the main page!
If you were there and have feedback or questions, and especially if you’d like to present the GAMMA games at your event, we’d love to hear from you. Just hit us up at: gamma AT kokoromi DOT org

10Nov06Wow! What can we say? It was an amazing night last night. The games were fantastic, the music was incredible, and we got to see some of our true heroes playing the games WE made! A million thanks to all the game developers who poured their hearts and sweat into this. You made it all worth it. And thanks to everyone who came out and saw the show.
Pictures soon! But first we are heading over to the Arcadia Festival for our 5:15 presentation to talk about GAMMA and kokoromi. Come stop by the Stade Uniprix and say Hi!

Game Summit highlights
24Sep06We’re excited to officially announce that GAMMA 01 : Audio Feed will be the closing party for the Montreal International Game Summit, and opening party for Festival Arcadia. What does this mean for us? Well, a pair of extremely fun parties, lots of event cross-promotion, and a stellar guest list full of our heroes in indie and experimental game development - for instance, MIGS keynote speakers include:
- - President and COO of Nintendo of America Reggie Fils-Aimé
- - Game technology innovator and peerless experimenter Ken Perlin
- - Master prototypers Chaim Gingold and Chris Hecker, both members of Will Wright’s Spore team (Chris was the 2006 recipient of the IGDA’s Community Contribution Award for his work promoting indie and experimental games)
and most recently announced:
- - Tetsuya Mizuguchi, creator/producer of Space Channel 5, Rez, Lumines and other ground-breaking games over his long and innovative career
So, needless to say, we’re looking forward to a fantastic event! The private MIGS party (for conference attendees only) will go from 6 to 9, then the doors will open to the public for the Arcadia opening party from 9 to 3.
See you there!
