Thanks to everyone who came out to the Experimental Gameplay session at GDC! Everything went off without a hitch and the GAMMA games seemed to generate a lot of enthusiasm from the crowd. (After all, how can you not love some good sucking and blowing game mechanics?)

You can visit the GAMMA 01: Audio Feed game page to learn more about these games, and be sure to check out our YouTube video on the main page!

If you were there and have feedback or questions, and especially if you’d like to present the GAMMA games at your event, we’d love to hear from you. Just hit us up at: gamma AT kokoromi DOT org

Wow! What can we say? It was an amazing night last night. The games were fantastic, the music was incredible, and we got to see some of our true heroes playing the games WE made! A million thanks to all the game developers who poured their hearts and sweat into this. You made it all worth it. And thanks to everyone who came out and saw the show.

Pictures soon! But first we are heading over to the Arcadia Festival for our 5:15 presentation to talk about GAMMA and kokoromi. Come stop by the Stade Uniprix and say Hi!

Media coverage continues to heat up for GAMMA! The November 2nd edition of the Montreal weekly paper The Hour includes a feature on the event and why we started it.

Yep, it’s arrived! Today is the deadline for game submission to GAMMA 01 :: Audio Feed. We’ve already received a number of submissions and are well on our way to meeting or exceeding our goal of at least 6 games, and at least half of them local (Montreal).

The flyer for the Arcadia portion of the event goes to the printers today. Look for it around Montreal this weekend… you will recognize it by a now-familiar shade of yellow. It’s the print debut our fiendish new double-colon event description technology.

And lastly, today’s the birthday of Kokoromi co-founder, Phil Fish! So be sure to wish him a happy one, or hey, I’m sure he’d let you buy him a belated pint at the SAT next week…

Just three more days until the November 1st submission deadline for GAMMA game teams! Today we’ve posted the instructions on the developer boards for all teams submitting games. As early reports filter in from teams in Canada, the US, and as far flung as Tokyo, it’s shaping up to be a strong showing, with somewhere between 6 and 12 new games expected! Starting on the 1st, we’ll begin compatibility testing of all the submitted games on the target hardware, giving participants the remaining days to tweak and bug-fix their work. Yep, it’s guaranteed to be a bit crazy chez Kokoromi!

More media for GAMMA! The latest edition of the local entertainment glossy, Nightlife, features an chatroom interview with Phil and Marie-Annick Boisvert, the founder of Arcadia.
